Michael Halasy, PA-C

  Michael Halasy is a practicing PA at Mayo Clinic. Has has been a PA for 9 years and graduated with an associates degree as a PA from Cuyahoga Community College in Parma, Ohio. Before his current work practicing EM (for a total of 7 years), he practiced in Orthopedics for 6 years.  He is the sole PA member of the Mayo Clinic Health Policy Center, and is completing his Doctor of Health Sciences degree at AT Still University, where he also completed his Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

  He has been published, both with clinical and policy related articles, and is heavily involved in research. He is currently completing a “Comparative Effectiveness” study evaluating PAs and NPs compared to MDs in the management and treatment of Flank Pain in the ED setting. Before he was a PA, he served as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy, and in total he has been working in healthcare for close to 20 years. He has a wonderful wife and a 3 year old daughter that is the light of his world.
